Chapter 13. Unmasking Procrastination: No it’s Not
Laziness!
A Sunday School teacher asked her little children, as they were on
the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in
church?"
One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."
One balmy day in the South Pacific, a navy ship espied smoke coming from
one of three huts on an uncharted island. Upon arriving at the shore
they were met by a shipwreck survivor. He said, "I'm so glad you're
here! I've been alone on this island for more than five years!"
The captain replied, "If you're all alone on the island why do I
see THREE huts."
The survivor said, "Oh. We'll, I live in one, and go to church in
another."
"What about the THIRD hut?" asked the captain.
"That's where I USED to go to church."
Laughter is one of the best remedies for depression. Tell these jokes
to others and you won’t feel so lonely
One day, Joe, Bob and Dave were hiking in a wilderness area when they
came upon a large, raging, violent river. They needed to get to the
other side, but had no idea of how to do so.
Joe prayed to God, saying, "Please God, give me the strength to
cross this river."
Poof! God gave him big arms and strong legs, and he was able to swim
across the river in about two hours, although he almost drowned a couple
of times.
Seeing this, Dave prayed to God, saying, "Please God, give me the
strength and the tools to cross this river."
Poof! God gave him a rowboat and he was able to row across the river in
about an hour, after almost capsizing the boat a couple of times.
Bob had seen how this worked out for the other two, so he also prayed to
God saying, "Please God, give me the strength and the tools, and
the intelligence, to cross this river."
Poof! God turned him into a woman. She looked at the map, hiked upstream
a couple of hundred yards, then walked across the bridge.
