CHRISTIAN SINGLE’S GUIDE TO PERSONALITY DISORDERS
WHICH CAUSE DEPRESSION FOR BOTH THE PERPETRATOR AND THEIR VICTIMS
Chapter 25 Warning- A Christian Single’s Dating Disaster:
Narcissism And Other Personality Disorders
The Dependent Personality Disorder
In describing this poor soul, Christian singles, Grandma must be
brutally honest with you and admit that when I was at my lowest point
in life, sick with gall stones and pancreatitis, so weakened by
depression I could hardly get out of bed, I became a parasite, too! My
husband had died, and I looked for people to take me in, and take care
of me. I’d lost my job and had no health insurance, so the disease
worsened. Finally, I had to go to the emergency room at our county
hospital, where I received free care and free surgery. Afterward, I
felt strong and wanted desperately to go back to work, but had to
recover for 6 weeks first. The doctors and nurses treated me just as
they would a paying patient, and I will never forget their kindness.
The reason that I mentioned that we should not be hard hearted towards
the down and out is that we don’t know if they are physically or
mentally ill, or if they even have any boots, let alone bootstraps
with which to pull themselves up. The mentally ill, whether sick with
completely debilitating mental problems, or suffering depression, need
help to get out of their situation. As you may have heard, cities are
cutting back on facilities to care for the mentally ill, and they
wander the streets, most not on medication, and end up in jail or
emergency rooms, costing the city more than caring for them would have
cost, especially when you consider the social toll that so many
mentally ill cause, for police, and others. Though not all are
dangerous, crimes do occur, as they have to steal to buy food or
drugs. Others injure or kill people, like the sniper in Ohio. Our
officials tend to be penny wise and pound foolish, when budgeting for
mental health care.
