CHRISTIAN SINGLE’S GUIDE TO PERSONALITY DISORDERS
WHICH CAUSE DEPRESSION FOR BOTH THE PERPETRATOR AND THEIR VICTIMS
Chapter 25 Warning- A Christian Single’s Dating Disaster:
Narcissism And Other Personality Disorders
Now, how many of these false messiahs and teachers do you suppose
might be, or have been, narcissists? I have heard them called
sociopaths and other names, but I wonder if narcissist fits them
better? They all exhibited the symptoms of the control freak, to say
the least. They did it on a scale only dreamed of by the average
narcissist. They never showed signs of loving their victims, but they
appeared to be totally infatuated with themselves. The Moonies
demanded all from their devotees, who had no material comforts, ate
cheap, non-nutritious food, wore old clothes and worked 16 hours,
every day, earning money for their leader. Incredibly, Bhagwan was so
sure of the trance state his victims were in, he would boldly flaunt
his expensive cars and goods in their faces, and they never begrudged
all this wealth, but strove to give him more. I don’t know how many
were cruel or physically abusive, though not all narcissists are
either. But perhaps the power they all hold over those they seek to
control is more evil than physical battery. I suppose their mental
illness will never be revealed to the world, but such people remind me
of Hitler and the spell he cast over his own people, never caring how
many of them died to make his megalomaniacal dream a reality. Many of
these messiahs and gurus had a history of depression and loneliness,
until they rose to power and others had to notice and acknowledge
their effect on people. Christian singles, please do not allow
loneliness or depression to rush you into marriage with someone you
barely know. Please be on the lookout for the man or woman who shows
signs of possessiveness, anger, or negative traits, and don’t allow
your emotions to rule your judgment. Marry in haste and repent in
leisure! I know you want to find your soul mate, the one God has
prepared for you. A loving marriage will be yours if you pray for
guidance and listen to what those who love you have to say about your
new sweetheart. Want Grandma’s advice? “When in doubt, DON’T !!!”
Lucky you, you have so many thousands of new people to meet, thanks
to Christian Date Mate. You can get to know many who appeal to you,
and find your perfect match. When I was young, I’d have loved to
have the advantage you do, a steady stream of eligible dates, all
accessible from the comfort of your computer nook. Instead, I had to
meet dates through friends or at social functions, neither one very
helpful. And, worse yet, I was so shy I dreaded meeting a guy face to
face, wondering what we would talk about. But you lucky stiffs can “gab”
online for weeks, if you want, getting to know them well before your
first meeting. Don’t feel sad for Grandma though. I managed to marry
and raise three children, and forgot about the shyness somewhere along
the way.
