CHRISTIAN SINGLE’S GUIDE TO PERSONALITY DISORDERS
WHICH CAUSE DEPRESSION FOR BOTH THE PERPETRATOR AND THEIR VICTIMS
Chapter 25 Warning- A Christian Single’s Dating Disaster:
Narcissism And Other Personality Disorders
Sort of like Scientology, but L. Ron Hubbard did the other mind
control cults one better! He devised a way to skip the whole locked-
compound- in- the-country routine and allows his initiates to wander
freely. Well, not exactly… They must be accompanied at all times by
“auditors” who do not allow them to talk with anyone privately.
Auditors are always on the lookout for “suppressors,” those
uneducated dunces who might warn the novice to get out while they can.
I suppose you know where Grandma is going with this, don’t you?
Luckily, Christian singles are nobody’s fool. Once you have tasted
the goodness and power of the Lord, you know He speaks the truth
because He IS Truth, and He has all the answers you will ever need. He
has made you co-heirs of all He has, and co-workers in signs and
wonders, sharing the work of winning the great harvest of souls for
Him.
I don’t know why I was shocked to hear that Katy Holmes, Tom
Cruise’s new love, was followed around by “auditors,” carefully
“protecting” her from suppressors!!! According to the news, when
they were out together, he could not allow Katy to go to the ladies’
room by herself, so he took her to the men’s room!!! This must be
ringing warning bells within her family and friends. Auditors followed
her into restrooms and other places, ever vigilant for those dreaded
suppressors. Scientology differs from the heavy-handedness of earlier
cults, but if you want to know more about their very expensive “program”
(and I mean that in a psychological sense: people are being
programmed) you can do a search for Scientology on the internet and
read all about the “e-meters,” a sort of lie detector, used on
them when they are coaxed to confess all their sins. While you’re
checking out the sites, look for their “Save Katy from Scientology”
T-shirts! It’s good that they are trying to warn Katy and others,
but it seems to me that neither she nor Tom ever needed the expensive
programs Scientology offers. Both are attractive, talented actors, and
could be stars without submitting themselves to the demands and
dangers of the program. Tom said that Scientology cured him of
dyslexia, but he could have gotten free help for that from a (dare I
say it?) school psychologist! And with his looks and talent, he would
have made it to the top in Hollywood with just his determination and
hard work. Christian singles will not be fooled by his comment that
Scientology can be practiced without giving up your religion. Hubbard
wrote several books, revealing his disgust for all religions,
especially Christianity, so how long do you think a nominal Christian
could hold on to his faith? Besides, Jesus said we cannot serve two
masters! Compare Hubbard with Christ: Hubbard, like all the rest of
the false prophets, became rich at the expense of his followers. But
Christ died a cruel death, taking our place, and our punishment, so
that we would never be held accountable for our sins. He died to make
us worthy of Heaven, and He promised “Whom the Son sets free is
free, indeed.” It is only when we are free, and can make our own
decisions about following Him that He will come into our hearts and
give us a new life, free forever from fear, shame, depression,
self-hatred, and all those other painful states of mind. I would
rather have Jesus and His love than any guru with esoteric “knowledge,”
eagerly ready to separate me from my money, time, and even my soul!
Wouldn’t you? Interestingly, my sister wrote me today and said she
worked for a dentist in Southern California years ago who joined
Scientology and it left him destitute over a period of time, as they
pushed more and more courses on him. No wonder they are now recruiting
Hollywood stars. Who could afford their religion?
