CHRISTIAN SINGLE’S GUIDE TO PERSONALITY DISORDERS
WHICH CAUSE DEPRESSION FOR BOTH THE PERPETRATOR AND THEIR VICTIMS
Chapter 24. Narcissism: “I Love Me, I Love Me Not”
How Does Narcissism Begin? Nature or Nurture?
Strangely enough, both Python and Princess hate their mothers,
although by all accounts, their mothers are very nice people. But they
seem to respect their fathers, both of whom are deceased. Though the
father of Princess left a comfortable inheritance to his wife and
Princess, she quickly went through her own inheritance and has now
spent her mother’s inheritance, as well. . Her mother should have
learned to say NO a long time ago! Princess is also lawsuit happy, and
recently managed to get into an accident and sued an 84 year old woman
for over $100.000.00, her life savings. Her sons have said that she
faked the injury, that she was not hurt at all. Both narcissists use
lawsuits and bankruptcy to increase their income. They also use men
and seem to divorce them when there is property involved, which they
always win. Of course, it depends on how long the husband stays in the
marriage. Most skedaddle early on in the relationship. Narcissists who
are wealthy may not need these outside sources of money, but most love
to buy things, even when they don’t need or use their purchases.
Fraudulent bankruptcies and lawsuits, borrowing from family with no
plan to repay, all avoid breaking the law, especially with a skillful
attorney.
You see, the narcissist knows how to stay within the law. Perhaps
judges and police are some of the authority figures they respect. Or
maybe they avoid jail to keep up “appearances” so that the people
they want to impress will never know they are cold-hearted cutthroats.
If you are curious about the relationship Princess has with her
children, it is the same as Python’s. Her grown children have left
her, and none want anything to do with her ever again. Her brutal,
uncaring treatment has guaranteed that she will never meet their wives
when they marry, nor ever see her grandchildren. So she will never be
able to show them off, acting the part of the adoring grandmother.
However, with her fixation on youth and all the plastic surgery she
has undergone to look younger, she may not want to admit that she is
a grandma. I’ve got a news flash for her: eventually, your body goes
south, and there is a limit to the number of facelifts you can have
before you start looking like those old movie stars, with lips
stretched nearly to the ears, and facial expressions nonexistent .
Narcissists fear growing old alone, most of all. But no one can expect
to have a close relationship with children if they haven’t poured
their love into them when they were little, and dependent upon their
mother.
