CHRISTIAN SINGLES GUIDE TO
ONLINE DATING ADVICE
CHRISTIAN SINGLES, WASTE NOT,
WANT NOT!
Savvy shoppers always ask if there is a cheap
or free way to replace something you have to buy. Doesn’t it seem
wasteful, Christian singles, to use new garbage bags, fill them, and
throw them into the dumpster? But you can get liner bags free with
your purchase of groceries. Ask for large bags that will fit nicely
inside a 20 quart wastebasket. Stores like Walgreens and Walmart
routinely give these larger size plastic bags. Paper bags would
probably work as well in your typical 20 qt. wastebasket.
If you use smaller wastebaskets, the smaller
size shopping bag will fit nicely. It is harder to find bags for
larger kitchen trash cans, but save those you get from larger
purchases to save money. At some discount stores like Smart and Final,
they sell 30 gallon trash bags for the unit price of 10 cents a bag
and they are sold in bulk; 100 bags for ten dollars. Comparing that
with 99 cent store bags, they’re about 2 ½ cents cheaper per unit.
To review, we have looked at the ageless,
sage advice that if we waste not, we will want not. In the old days,
people recycled items until there was nothing left to reuse. No, they
didn’t have recycling centers or bins or anything. Frugal homemakers
used grease to make soap to wash clothes and dishes. I doubt that you
would want to go that far, but try to get the best deals you can,
purchasing soap for daily use. Often generic brands will do just as
good a job as the highly over-priced premium brands, so give them a
try. And remember the 99 Cent stores, also called Dollar Stores, as
their items like soap and toothpaste, as well as vegetable spray for
non-stick pans are at least a dollar cheaper than premium brands
(which need to recoup their advertising expenses by raising prices and
then convincing us that their products are so superior that we will be
glad we paid more.)
