CHRISTIAN SINGLES GUIDE TO

CHRISTIAN SINGLES, WASTE NOT,
WANT NOT!
Have you ever seen a pantry designed to hold
a year’s reserve of food? The one I saw had storage along a wall,
not with shelves, but with chutes of various sizes, and
paneling on the front to hold the cans of food in place. So, the can
of food would be dropped to the bottom of the chute, and then many
cans after it, on top one another. At the bottom there was a space
where the next can could be picked up and the rest would slide down
into place. This very savvy storage arrangement made sure that food
would be used in the order that it was purchased and placed in the
individual chutes. This is a great improvement over trying to rotate
them on a shelf. As you know, it is a major hassle to move all the
cans from the back to put your new purchases in the back, so that food
gets rotated and eaten in the order it was purchased.
If you have provided for yourself and family
you will have adequate water and food to last through most natural
disasters. Of course this assumes that you have not bought a home in a
flood plain, as no amount of preparedness can help you if your home is
located where a flood, hurricane or other disaster could destroy
everything.
Some folks buy Army rations to keep at home
for an emergency. Some even have the chemical means to heat the food
without a stove or fire. These meals have enough calories to be
sufficient for a man for 24 hours, according to reports. There are
many websites and also preparedness books which list all the food and
other provisions a family needs to survive, but I just wanted to let
you know that your stock of food and water, meant to help you save
money, could also help you live through an emergency.
