CHRISTIAN SINGLES GUIDE TO
ONLINE DATING ADVICE
CHRISTIAN SINGLES, WASTE NOT,
WANT NOT!
The same could be said for apple peels,
although everyone knows that the skins are full of powerful nutrients,
and should be eaten along with the apple. It is unnecessary to peel
apples before baking in a pie. But both ends, or depressions of the
apple should be washed carefully, along with the rest of the skin to
dislodge pesticides and even small insects. Many cooks leave cucumber
skin on for most salads too. The skins of lemons and oranges can be
used for “zest” and grated, especially the lemon peel, for lemon
meringue pie or fresh lemonade.
Other savings you can take advantage of are
day-old bread stores, or watch for the sales display of day-old bread
at your grocery store. Also, even the huge supermarkets have to unload
some products that are nearing the end of their shelf life. Look for
racks on rollers that hold sale items they want to get rid of. Walmart
had about 50 cans of pumpkin pie filling on one of their sales racks
for only 25 cents a can (which usually cost about $1.25 each.) So
guess what, Christian singles, I bought them all! Fortunately, I did
not get a hernia carrying it home. And don’t worry about leaving
some sales items for others, because the next time I went there,
they’d brought more out. This time, I ignored the impulse to buy, as
50 cans of anything take a lot of room in the pantry. I was still
eating and serving pumpkin pie a year later, with no sacrifice of
taste or freshness.
The whole concept of IMPROVING your life by
conserving your resources seems like an oxymoron! That’s why so many
spend like there’s no tomorrow, and the stores enjoy higher and
higher profits! Your cost-cutting plans and methods should not only
save money but raise you living standards and your quality of life!
And far from feeling like a miser, you can feel proud of yourself for
not being wasteful.
An elderly lady from Europe once told me, “Watch
your pennies, and your dollars will take care of themselves.” If
I could choose one of these treasures of timeless advice to emphasize
over the others, it would be this one!! Think about it Christian
singles, if you learn how to save small change every time you shop, or
use products you can get free rather than buying them, even if you
only save 1 or 2 dollars a day, that’s $365 to $730 a year! Then
when you add all the other ways you save by using free items in place
of those you’d have to buy, or deciding you don’t really need
expensive items, you can save thousands a year!
