CHRISTIAN SINGLES GUIDE TO

CHRISTIAN SINGLES, FEAR CAN
CAUSE FINANCIAL SELF-SABOTAGE
If you love someone you will be loyal to him
no matter the cost.. You will always believe in him, always expect the
best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him. All the
special gifts and powers from God will someday come to an end, but
love goes on forever….There are three things that remain- faith,
hope and love, and the greatest of these is love.”
Recalling the two great commandments Jesus
gave us: Love God with all your heart, and love others as you love
yourself, we can now apply the Love Chapter to each of these
relationships. How we love God, others and ourselves will demonstrate
whether we have perfect love, undiluted with jealousy, selfishness,
demanding our own way, impatience, etc. Paul goes on to say, “Let
love be your greatest aim.” This will keep us so busy we won’t
have time to fear anything, carry around repressed anger, or give in
to shame, self-sabotage, envy, or that old bugaboo, depression!
If one of these old habits demands attention,
we can tell it we’re all booked up, trying to fulfill our greatest
aim, Love. Having perfect love for God, others and perfect love
for ourselves(meaning a humble, respectful love for ourselves, not an
unhealthy self-love,
narcissism ) will definitely keep us busy, as
we strive to live it out in a practical way. For instance, we will
want to talk with those we love, and do little acts of kindness and
thoughtfulness to show how much they are appreciated and loved, which
should be easy for Christian singles.
