CHRISTIAN SINGLES GUIDE TO

AN INTERLUDE WITH THE LORD FOR
CHRISTIAN SINGLES
After a Christmas celebration at church you
could get together and share your favorite snacks, etc, and give more
meaningful gifts than ever before. There are so many ways you can
change your old ways of celebrating Christmas that you might have to
spend some time now, just digesting what we have talked about, and
thinking how this could be applied to your life and your family. Of
course, making any celebration special and fairly painless financially
should be your goal. How about taking a little interlude with the
Lord? We can stay in our current frame of mind, thinking of ways to
improve our relationships and avoid unnecessary expenses which will
help all of us gain control of our finances.
Our Interlude with the Lord will be spent
studying the amazing life of Ruth, Naomi’s daughter- in -law. She
refused an easier life she could have had with her parents when her
husband died. Instead, she was determined to stay with her
mother-in-law and to take care of her, since Naomi’s husband and
sons were dead. Ruth faced a harsh future, gleaning food for Naomi and
herself, but she was willing to work hard to feed both of them. She
never complained about their lack, but was thankful for what little
she had. God saw her humble servant’s heart and rewarded her
with a loving husband, children and a comfortable home for Naomi as
well. If we are faithful in how we handle our small incomes, we can
believe God for more abundance in the future. Here is the story of
Ruth and Naomi, borrowed from “Grandma’s Guide To Ending
Loneliness And Depression.”
