CHRISTIAN SINGLES GUIDE TO
ONLINE DATING ADVICE
BARTERING; A GOOD CHOICE FOR
CHRISTIAN SINGLES DATING ONLINE
Now, I would readily admit this type of
hoarder is a nut case who needs help. But where do these psychologists
draw the line? Are we just a little bit crazy if we can’t part with
old stuff? No problem if you can barter with someone, Christian
singles, just trade it for something else. We will let the experts
sort out what psycho-babble name they want to give this “new mental
illness,” but it had better be something other than Hoarding! Most
pack rats I know are not stingy hoarders; they give away tons of
stuff, plus food and gifts to those in need.
But those of you like my children who think
“less is more”( and they even have extra storage room in their
closets!!!) will not have the bargaining power that a pack rat has in
bartering. But not to worry, just take an inventory of what you do
have. Do you subscribe to a newspaper or magazines? You could trade
with neighbors. For instance, in my apartment complex, one newspaper
makes its rounds to three apartments. My sister sends lots of store
coupons, so I trade them for the newspaper. Then I pass on the paper
to another neighbor who gives me his old magazines. Eventually the
accumulated store coupons also get passed around, and wind up donated
to charity or put in a box in the laundry room, for anyone else to
use. The original newspaper subscriber feels the trade is more
beneficial to him than anyone, because he gets so many coupons, and
also gets rid of the paper when he’s done, so he does not have to
carry piles of newspapers to the trash.
But how do you get started bartering? It
depends on what you have to trade, but make inquiries locally. There
are groups of people who barter within their group. First, if no one
you know has heard of a bartering or exchange club look in your
telephone directory under Bartering and Exchange Networks. (some of
these are only for businesses, but some cater to individuals.) If you
can’t find what you’re looking for, locally, why not take charge,
Christian single, and attempt to form an informal list of people who
would be interested in exchanging some of their unwanted stuff for
someone else’s new and intriguing stuff. ( Read that “new to
them“!) Then you could check online, but proceed with caution,
because unless it is backed by a company like eBay you might not have
recourse if the trade was completely unfair, or the item offered for
trade was broken or unusable. Generally, it is better to trade with
people you know, within your church, neighborhood, club, or school.
