It occurred to me, Christian singles, that we have not
yet discussed gifts to the Lord and the tithe, which many
of you already know, can be another great source of
blessing. Your pastor probably has taught you about the
need to support the church, and keep all the programs,
like a food pantry, or a local outreach to youth at risk,
and many other ministries financed so that people will not
be turned away. These all reach out to unbelievers who can
be introduced to Christ through these missions of help and
love, and they are well worth supporting as well as the
services, pastors and staff who do so much to minister to
all of us.
Sometimes a gift of Christian books, music, or videos
are of immense assistance in winning souls to Christ, if
you can part with some of your extra books and music, etc.
Consider it giving to the Lord when you share them with
others who wouldn’t even know about them if weren’t
for your generosity in sharing. Hasn’t there been an
amazing Christian book that just blew you away? That drew
you so close to the Lord that you knew you would never be
the same after reading it?
You could have a ministry of loaning out these
life-changing books, videos, or music to believers and
unbelievers alike, Christian singles. I found that there
was great interest among my unsaved co-workers in books
that related to the things they were going through at the
time, such as struggles with children, marriage, financial
distress, health problems, depression, addictions, and
other issues too numerous to list here.
